Nap-Time!

October 30, 2008 By Christie

Tuesday afternoon, Devon and Bailey took a nap, and Carson was at his friend Jackson’s house (thanks Kate!), so I got some much-needed time to myself to do what I want. For the first part I did bills and other exciting stuff, then decided to try and do something else before the kiddos woke up. My sister Janina does something fun with the holidays and makes her kids a pillowcase with fabric for that holiday–I’ve done it with Valentine’s and Christmas, but didn’t have any Halloween ones, so thanks to Walmart $2.00 fabric for their seasonal kind, the kids have cute pillowcases, and thanks to Fabulous Friday (yea for Kim!) showing us how to make some bows, I tried those as well. I’m not so good at making bows–I prefer making the flowers cause they are easy and quick! But having free time is kind of like chocolate–once you’ve had it, you just want more. I haven’t had free time for a while, and looking back, I probably should have taken a nap too! But isn’t it always when you PLAN to take a nap that it can’t happen???

What a cute pillowcase idea. But does she make a new one every Halloween? That would be super dedicated, but I think you’d end up with a closet full of unused pillowcases. So maybe not.

Those turned out great! Where did you get your flowers?

Flowers at Walmart, but only white ones that would work like that–I’ve been to Joanne’s and Hobby Lobby to look at their flowers, but haven’t had much luck–I got some at Hobby Lobby and ended up taking them back because they only had 4 petals on the flowers and looked funny.
Dezi, Janina only made one for each kid to re-use every year–that would be a lot of pillowcases huh!

Christie you are so talented. I loved the Halloween dinner. That had to take some time. The clips look fabulous (I haven’t even started mine). Its easy to tell what is important to you–your family. You spend so much time and energy for them.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
