Grandma and a Wonderful Sunday!

December 8, 2008 By Christie

As I’ve said before, my Grandma is an amazing woman, with the best sense of humor. Tonight she was chatting with me while I had to be another room with our family get together. She told me that her and my Grandpa have been putting Bailey’s name on the temple roll every week, and they pray for her every meal and every prayer they say. What great people:). So, during our chat, she asked a bunch of questions about Bailey and how we were all doing. My mom came in twice asking me when I was going to open my birthday presents. So, we got done talking and she says, “Well, I’m gonna go open your presents. And eat your cake.” Always good for a laugh!

She told me a really great story! Her great niece has a 3 year old daughter who was recently “helping” her do some canning in the kitchen. She was asking all sorts of questions to her mom and said, “Mom, how old is God?” Her mom took this opportunity to tell her to go to her room and pray to Heavenly Father and ask Him. She was gone in her room praying, came back, and asked, “Mom, what does infinity mean?” Wow huh! What 3 year old would know that word if she didn’t really get an answer! That shows how much faith little kids have.

During Primary today, they were singing a Christmas song that says, “Hosanna, Hosanna, oh let us gladly sing. How blessed that our Lord was born, let earth receive her King.” I LOVE being in primary. They sounded like angels. It brought tears to my eyes. Aren’t kids the best? I just love their innocence and their willingness to learn and forgive. They are awesome! It was extra special because I got to see Carson and Devon sing it. Devon is not in Sunbeams yet, but during December they let the nursery come in during singing time.

It was such a great Sabbath today. Testimony meeting was awesome. I was filled with so much love for those in my ward. I love the great examples they are to me, how well they fulfill their callings and reach out to others. We’ve received a lot of help from this ward, especially with Bailey’s birth and surgery, and have felt so blessed and loved here. I love being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints!

I love primary too, I miss it and I didn’t know that I would. The kids are so innocent, it’s mind boggling…We are so blessed to be members of this church, truly!

What a fun grandma you have, mine’s crazy! :(

I love it when primary sings, except when they yell, it is always so heartwarming.

I remember when you guys moved to our ward, and I thought, “wow, she’s pretty, and I think I want to be her friend!” So I’m glad it actually happened and love that I get to have you in my ward.

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
