This post is just some random things I never blogged about for this last month.
My friends and I of course had to go see New Moon. I loved it! We went the Saturday after it came out. I liked it a lot better than the first one. The acting has improved, and I think the director did a great job.
Planet Preschool went on a field trip to Macey’s. They had a great time. They got lots of food.
Dev got his cast off. It was really weird watching them pull out the two pins. They bled a LOT! It kind of looks like something giant bit him there. Kind of gross, but I wanted to document it. Sorry for those who are queasy.
Carson told me when he got his blood work, “Do I have to get a blood vessel done?” He was scared. He told me he was going to run away. I’d like to have seen him try. He was SO sick, he wouldn’t get far.
This picture pretty much represented our Thanksgiving dinner. Bailey was the only one well enough to really enjoy it:). The boys sat there and cried while Dillon and I told what we were thankful for. As soon as we were done talking, they went and took another nap.
Bailey is sick now, but I think her body is fighting it off well. She cries when she coughs and has a low fever off and on, but she’s doing well.
One of our newest things to experience is that Bailey has started to FAINT! When she gets really sad, she does the Breath Holding thing and completely turns blue, eyes roll in the back of her head, and she’s out. It only happens when she’s crying really hard, so it’s not random. She’s always really really sad when it happens, like we left the room or something. I know, tragic, huh? It only lasts for a couple seconds (longest about 5) and then she wakes up terrified. It was a little funny the first time, I just couldn’t believe it happened, but after the 3rd time I took her in. The doctor isn’t concerned since it happens when she’s really sad. She fainted 3 times just yesterday, and today already once. I think since she’s sick, it’s making it more frequent. Our instructions are to NOT make a big deal about it so she doesn’t learn to do it for attention. So that’s what we are doing. Yesterday though, she fainted right by our stairs, so that was a little scary–I’m glad she didn’t fall down them!
I have never seen anyone as sick as my family this past week! I felt so horrible for Dillon, having no energy and a sinus infection and pneumonia. He was wiped out. Carson was the sickest. He really scared me. He pretty much gave up on life. He didn’t want to eat or drink anything. He was so so sick. He looked horrible, and couldn’t even walk. We woke up two nights last week to him sleeping on the floor of the bathroom once, and the second time just on the floor in his room because he was so exhausted after getting up to use the bathroom that he just laid down where he was to sleep. SO sad. Devon was also very sick, but the Motrin and Tylenol at least made a difference for him. Devon and Carson both had fevers up to 105! Carson actually just barely today doesn’t have a fever anymore. Yea!
They are still all very tired, and the coughing spells really exhaust them. Carson’s chest still hurts him, and he still lays around a lot. He’s probably moving at the slowest rate at getting better. Devon is up and moving a bit more, but is still not all the way himself. Dillon actually went to work today. I think it’s too soon, but he said he’s gotta go. I’m just really glad I was only really sick for 2-3 days so I could take care of my family!
Yesterday was my 29th birthday. Thank you for all the calls and presents, and the many wishes on Facebook. Even if I am hardly ever on there, I still get emails when people write anything to me:).
I put up our Christmas decorations the last couple days. Carson was on the couch last Saturday and said, “Mom, I need to tell you something. There is something missing. These fall decorations…they are all wrong. I think we’re missing our Christmas decorations.” How could I refuse such a sick boy’s request? So it’s up, and Bailey is loving it. She’s being a stinker about it though. She’ll go up to the tree, shake her head no, and grab an ornament off.

Good grief! What a crazy last few months you've had! I think I say this on many comments, but I truly believe you are superwoman!!
I think that was the saddest thing I've heard, that Carson pretty much gave up on life. Poor kid!!
And Bailey fainting? Scary, but at least the doctor said it's 'okay'. Still scary I'm sure.

so much info in one post! I hope everyone is feeling better ASAP!!
I love the look of mischief on Bailey's sweet little face! When Reese was that age I think we went through 18 ornaments.. he would drop them and say uh oh as they were mid-air. :)
