Bailey

December 12, 2009 By Christie

Bailey is starting to walk around a lot more. It’s super duper cute. She is a lot braver if she is holding onto something though, like a stool, or a big Malt-O-Meal bag of cereal. Perhaps she’s even tried to carry a large box full of Legos. Silly girl. But of course she falls a lot. Most of the time she thinks it’s funny. She says “OW!” almost every time she falls, though she laughs after she says it. I love it. I’ll need to take some video of it soon!
She’s saying some new words: Baby, Mommy (instead of Mom), Cup, and she started to finally sign “please” today. That one took a while! She calls Dillon Mommy most of the time, but has said Daddy a few times to him.

She is a TOTAL daddy’s girl. Tonight I went to take her to put her to bed, and she did her famous scowl with the eyebrows furrowed and pushed me away. I’m ok with it though. Dillon told me that he’s felt that way for the last 6 years with our boys…he thinks they are mamma’s boys.

She loves to imitate things. She barks like a dog. She knows when we say Rosco who we’re talking about. She raised her hand in church to “oppose” the person being sustained. She’ll grab a thermometer and tell us “Ahhhh” and try and stick it in your mouth. She feels our faces and her own as if checking for a fever…Hmmmmm. Can you tell we’ve been sick! She’s already a little mother!
She definitely has brothers, as evidenced by her laughing when she burps and then fake burps to get more laughs. She (sorry for the details, but it was pretty funny) got into crawling mode the other day and tooted, then sat back down. This sent Devon into giggles. She noticed he liked it, and so assumed the crawling stance again and tooted another time, like it was on cue! Then her and Devon both laughed their little heads off. We’ll have to teach Miss Bailey some manners around here.

My favorite is her trying to blow kisses. The other day she was headed downstairs. She stopped, looked at me, waved Bye and said with her hand on her chin, “Mmwah!”

Thanks to my sister Janina for the beautiful dress. We love it! My sisters and both my mom and Dillon’s mom have given her some lovely dresses that I think she’ll wear a different one every Sunday for a couple months!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
