It’s True

December 6, 2009 By Christie

I just wanted to share my favorite Christmas songs this season. Dillon gave me an i-tunes gift card for my birthday and I bought to $7.99 Christmsa albums that I LOVE.

The first one is one I’ve just discovered this year. Her name is Sara Groves. Her album is so great. She has some original stuff on there, and my favorite song is It’s True. Beautiful song. I love the classic Christmas songs, but every day all day for the month is a little much, so I like her album since she does different versions as well, of the traditional music.

My FAVORITE album though, is Celtic Women Christmas. Love love love it. They have the most angelic, beautiful voices. Which is just perfect for Christmas! My two favorites on their album are Christmas Pipes and Ding Dong Merrily On High. They make me happy and they make me dance with my kids. It’s best turned up really loud so you can belt it out along with them. (My two favorite girls from them are wearing the yellow dress and purple dress).

My sister Janina told me about a free new Christmas song from BYU. I like this a lot as well. You can go HERE to watch the video and download the song (two different versions) for free.

My friend Erin also has a load of info on some free Christmas songs. Go to her blog to find out more!

That is all I have for now! Hope you enjoy. Tell me your favorites that I might be missing!

Those Celtic Woman songs are cool! I still have to look up Sara Groves though.

That "Christmas Cookies" song at the end of your play list, I introduced Paul to a couple of years ago and the only reason he likes the song is because of the "punch line" about the kissing and hugging!

I've heard of Sara Groves, although I didn't know she had a Christmas album. I have heard of Celtic Woman before and yes, they do have the most beautiful voices!

I like the ding-dong one the best! I can totally picture you dancing around with your kids to those songs. . .they're great!

I LOVE Celtic Women. We saw them in concert last winter–they were awesome, but I was so sad because Orla and Maeve (pink dress girl) are no longer with them. Lisa (yellow dress) is my favorite too! I remember seeing their first concert on PBS like 5 or 6 years ago and was just entranced by it. I had to buy their CD and DVD. Adam is now a convert to Celtic Women as well. :) I might have to get this CD now–thanks for posting!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
