Memorable Moments May 2010

June 2, 2010 By Christie

 • I could tell Dev hung out with Grandpa Hurst for a while. I poured him some juice, and he wanted more, so I poured more. He smiled and said, “Yah, atta girl.”

• My favorite phrases Bailey’s started saying: “Wha uh you doing?” (what are you doing?) and “I din know dat!” (I didn’t know that!)

• The doorbell rang while I was putting the kids to bed. Carson was in his underwear, but really wanted to go down and check it out. I was pretty sure it was the neighbor kids (from the knock) and it was. So he went down and they were talking. He came back up and said, “Whew! I’m glad THAT’S over with.” I asked why. And he said, “ME! In my UNDERWEAR! Talking to Jackson and Darby!!!!”

• So my boys are being silly with the whole different colors of people. We were reading a friend article, and Carson looked up at the top at an African American person and said, “He looks like chocolate!!! Yummy yum yum.” and smacked his lips!!! Then Carson was talking about a girl he liked, and Devon said, “Was she peach? Or chocolate.” Time for some political correct terms to be taught???

• Dev had strep throat this last week. The first day, before we knew, Carson said, “Well maybe you have warewolf wear.” I asked him what that was. He said, “It is the sickness of a wolf.”

• Carson was hiding from Dev and they had a little fight. Carson came down to tell us his side of the story and it started like this: “Well, I was hiding, and I was being quiet. Quiet like a misquito, because they can’t make any sounds and stuff…”

• Dev did some cool throw with my ribbon and Dillon and I said, “Cool bud!” Dev laughed and said, “I been pratkissing (practicing) that trick.”

• Bailey totally will say her prayers now when we help her. I LOVE IT!!! She is so darn cute repeating what we tell her to, complete with the cute, “We love Thee” as “We uv ee”. I just love it. It’s the sweetest thing ever.

• Dev took a sesame seed off his hamburger bun and said, “If you plant this, it will grow into a hamburger tree.” When we laughed about that, he said, “Just kidding. I was kidding. If you plant it, it will grow into a hamburger plant.” So funny.

• I had to run down and type this. As I’m speaking, Dev and his friend Tyler are playing hide and seek with Bailey. She’s just squealing with delight!!! She found Dev and they both started laughing so hard and Dev kept saying, “You’re the best.” His new nickname for her is, “Babes.” So cute. I love their relationship!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
