July 4th Celebrations: Part One

July 14, 2010 By Christie

We started the day out eating breakfast with the ward.  The kids got to have a bike parade.DSCF0009   DSCF0012     Then it was off to the Grantsville Parade.  I thought it was kind of a lame parade this year, but the kids still had fun.  Sitting at the end isn’t really a great idea because of the LONG breaks in between groups of people. I feel like half the time was spent waiting!  Luckily I have cute kids to take pictures of:).   And boy, did I ever take pictures!DSCF0046  DSCF0014 DSCF0015 DSCF0016 DSCF0018   DSCF0021  DSCF0024 DSCF0025   DSCF0030 DSCF0032   DSCF0037    I love these next two of Bailey.  She was waiting so patiently and would keep going out in the road to look.  She’s looking a little tired of waiting here.  Seriously, she could see them for a really long time before they made it, and each time she’d go check, she’d gasp excitedly and run to sit down and wait wait wait.DSCF0039 DSCF0041 DSCF0042 DSCF0047 Good thing they all had their flags to wave and keep themselves entertained. DSCF0048 DSCF0049   Oh, and bugs too.  Always bugs.DSCF0050 Dillon was able to drop by for a few minutes to watch the kids in their excitement.  His band was playing in the park immediately following the parade. DSCF0051   DSCF0054 DSCF0055  DSCF0060 DSCF0061 DSCF0063 DSCF0064    We did get a pretty good load of candy.  Too bad the GROWN MAN sitting next to us holding his umbrella upside down got the majority thrown our way.  Ha ha ha! Seriously, I don’t make these things up.DSCF0067 DSCF0068   Carson yelled, “Mom look!  It’s Smokey the Bear!” DSCF0069 Forty Days performed their very best concert, I would say.  They did almost all original songs again, and seriously, they’ve got a great set of songs. DSCF0070 DSCF0071   The boys played on the playground you see on the left side of the picture, and I got to hang out with this pretty lady.   DSCF0074  FUN TIMES!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
