Don’t let the joy and happiness oozing from these pictures fool you one bit. Bailey was climbing up onto the high parts of her crib and hanging around up there—either climbing on top of her dresser or just getting stuck. I was afraid she was going to fall and figured now is as good as anytime to get her in her own bed anyways. So while I put the bed together (thanks for the bed, Rachelle and Paul—kind of…;) I talked up her bed so much and she was really excited. Nap time first day? She slept in the twin bed that is in her room—she just got in on her own when I was downstairs. But at least she took a nap. That night? She did pretty well—cried off and on a few times. Next day? Didn’t want a thing to do with it. Went to sleep at 11:00 that night—without a nap that day. -4 naps and 5 days later, we’re still working hard at it. I even looked up what the Super Nanny would do. Seriously. Here’s the link. And guess what? That’s exactly what we’ve been doing all along. Little stinker. She is on her “big-girl bed strike” of the century. Our boys were NOT. THIS. HARD when making the switch. And I’d say she was in the middle of the ages the boys were, so just about the same time, give or take about 3-4 months is all.

Well, you're welcome for the bed… kinda.
