They Made It!

April 18, 2011 By Christie

DSCF5170 Dillon’s band made it to the next stage for the Stadium of Fire competition!!!  So they are in the top 25!!! I asked him if they knew how many videos they received for the competition, and he said they told them around 500.  So sometime in May they will have the audition/concert for the judges, and then they choose the next 10, then the next 3 the day after that. They called Joseph on Saturday morning to let them know the good news!  So awesome and exciting!! This morning Dillon and Joseph were interviewed in Afton, Wyoming, live on the radio! KRSV 98.7.  And that station will be playing their music all summer!  They have a performance in Wyoming this summer (again, like last year—Joseph is from Star Valley).  Funny fact:  our draftsman was one of 7 that I called from the numbers off KSL.  We felt the best about having him work on our house plans.  He is now in the band as the bass player.  Crazy how things happen like that sometimes! In the video, Dave is their new bass player—but it’s now Mical and Dave will play lead guitar.  So they have 5 members in their band now. This video and the picture above are from the Old Folk’s Sociable in March.  They did great, as always!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
