Hawaii: Day Six

January 17, 2012 By Christie

We woke up every day and enjoyed guava jam and POG.  Yum! DSC_0085-1 DSC_0084-1 On Sunday we went to Sacrament Meeting.  It was really neat because it was fast and testimony meeting, and I felt the Spirit really strong.  You hear it said all the time, but it’s so great to feel at home in the church, no matter where you are.  The people there were so friendly and had such great testimonies to share.  DSC_0087-1DSC_0090-1   What’s also neat about the church we went to is that the Kona Temple is right behind it!  I imagine they rejoiced when that temple was built!  DSC_0095-1DSC_0098-1DSC_0102-1DSC_0107-1DSC_0110-1DSC_0112DSC_0118-1DSC_0123-1DSC_0125-1DSC_0126-1 Can’t argue with 85 degrees when it was below 30 in Utah!  We drove to the Hilo side again after church.  DSC_0129-1DSC_0136-1DSC_0144-1DSC_0147-1DSC_0150-1DSC_0157-1DSC_0159-1DSC_0160-1DSC_0162-1DSC_0163-1DSC_0169DSC_0181-1DSC_0200DSC_0215-1DSC_0219DSC_0226-1DSC_0232-1DSC_0234-1DSC_0237-1DSC_0246-1DSC_0255-1 Most of the pictures in this post are taken in auto, with no adjusting on them (I wish I had taken more on manual but we were just going going and I didn’t want to miss a picture because I’m not fast enough on my settings yet!).  I was blown away that the picture below had nothing done to it—it’s just a true representation of the beauty there! DSC_0256-1DSC_0266-1DSC_0268-1DSC_0270-1DSC_0277-1 DSC_0280-1DSC_0282DSC_0284DSC_0286-1DSC_0294DSC_0299-1DSC_0300-1DSC_0303-1DSC_0306-1DSC_0311-1DSC_0316-1DSC_0317-1DSC_0319-1DSC_0320-1 My hair + humidity = not friends. DSC_0338-1DSC_0343-1DSC_0349-1DSC_0355-1DSC_0356-1DSC_0359-1DSC_0373-1DSC_0392-1   And then there was the one time when Christie decided to try and be like Tarzan and the vine broke and she fell on her bum.  DSC_0395-1DSC_0409-1DSC_0415-1 We actually did have one wild animal siting… DSC_0417-1DSC_0418-1DSC_0419-1DSC_0421DSC_0424-1 And now for my favorite equation.  Hawaii + humans = Healing.  For real.  Only one more day left of our trip to blog about!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
