Well Dillon made it home after a month of being gone. Yay! We really love having him home again. Which meant we could finally have Devon’s baptism! Devon asked Grandpa Jerry to baptize him. When we were going through his baptism book, it had a part about choosing who to baptize you. When it mentioned all the possible people, he said, “Grandpa?” So I told him yes, he could ask a Grandpa to baptize him, so he asked Jerry. It was really cool. So excited!!! He could hardly wait! Dillon still confirmed him and gave him the Gift of the Holy Ghost. Devon was so happy and loved every minute of the day. I’m so proud of him and happy for this important step! As everyone surrounded him during the confirmation (there were many many who did!), I just was hit with the Spirit so powerfully. I am so thankful that we have so many righteous Priesthood holders in our families. It really is such a wonderful blessing. Again, I wasn’t good at taking pictures after the baptism at the lunch. I wish I had taken pictures of Devon with his grandparents and great grandparents at least. But we had so much family and friends come to support us. It was a beautiful day! Devon was SO cute when they announced his baptism and confirmation the next day in church. In Primary he did a little fist pump in the air, and in Sacrament he got as high as he could on his tip toes and bounced around in a half circle so everyone could get a good look at him, complete with a huge grin on his face. I love that he’s so excited about it all. Baptisms are so fun.
