Memorable Moments: April 2013

May 1, 2013 By Christie

-Every time Bailey talks with Dillon on the phone while he’s been in Florida, she ALWAYS tells him she is saving him 14 marshmallows and 14 hugs and 14 kisses.  Every time. -We watched Wreck it Ralph.  In it, when the little girl and Ralph make her car, and it ends up looking like crap?  Well, before the little girl proclaims it’s great, and it’s silent for a minute, Devon whispered, “Whoa, that’s awesome.”  Love that he felt it was great too. -We have some neighbor boys that were at our house.  I don’t know what one of them said to Bailey, but she said, “Hey, that is rude and propriate.”  -Conference was wonderful, as always.  It’s been a long time since I’ve been able to listen so well and the kids did great!  We especially liked Elder Holland’s talk.  I thought it was neat because after he was done Carson said, “Whoa, his talk was AWESOME!  I bet he’ll be the prophet someday!”  And guess what?  I had the same thought while he was talking.  Not that he will, but it was just fun to feel his power while speaking.  -Bailey was trying to open some nail polish.  She couldn’t get it and said, “I kind of need The Force to open this.” -After Conference and praying a lot about how to be a better mom, I’ve been trying to pray more specifically for my kids in front of my kids.  The first time I did it was simple and I said something about each child that I appreciated.  When we finished the prayer, Carson had tears in his eyes and hugged me and said thank you mom!  It was very sweet and made me realize how easy it is to help them feel loved and how I need to do better!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
