He had to give a talk in primary and I asked if he wanted to add his testimony at the end, and he said he was too nervous in front of everyone. I said that primary was a great place to do it first because there weren’t so many people. Well, here’s the talk he wrote, but he didn’t want to tell them his testimony afterwards. Remember, HE wrote this talk, not me:). The topic was “My family and I can serve others.”
“Serving is about sharing. Serving is about helping others. And to pray and to have happiness and to have happiness in our homes from serving. My family serves others by playing and service is helpful. And it’s really helpful for our friends by giving them goodies.”
He drew a picture of him serving his friend Seth. I think the Primary was enriched today. And it didn’t end there. The whole WARD was enriched when he bore his testimony similar to this:
“I’d like to bear my testimony. I know this church is true. I know that President Monson was the first one to find the gold plates and the first prophet. I know that he was very truthful and helpful. In the name of…. “
So cute. He was EXTREMELY proud of himself and said, “Mom, you were right! I got up there and I wasn’t too scared to say it!”
Walking out to the van, I smiled and asked, “So Carson, who was our first prophet who found the plates?” He said, “President Monson…I mean Jospeh Smith. Sorry, I was just so nervous.”
I do know that my little boy has a testimony–even if it comes out wrong. I feel that way sometimes, too. I’m so proud of him!

He was so cute and sweet. You could see the pride on his face, and probably even more on Dillon's face!

It was the best! I kept being interupted by my girls, but I got to see how proud he was of himself and the relief when he was done!
