Bugs

July 29, 2011 By Christie

Bailey still loves bugs. She’ll call them her very best buddies, her bestest friends, etc. But occasionally, there will be an unlucky bug because she’ll smash it and say, “I didn’t like that one.”

Fourth of July

July 29, 2011 By Christie

This 4th was great!  The weather was beautiful, not too hot at all, and we just had a fun day.  It was strange not having Devon with us, since he was gone for the week with his cousin Jake after our big reunion.  Carson was so nice and kept getting candy for Bailey and even…

Family Reunion in Bear Lake

July 29, 2011 By Christie

I love my family.  I have such a wonderful extended family, and am blessed because I married into a great family as well :).  My grandparents rented out a beautiful cabin by Bear Lake.  Aunt Sandy brought a lot of fun crafts for all the kids. The ugly tie and ugly jewelry exchange. An afternoon…

Science Camp 2011: Part III (of III)

July 25, 2011 By Christie

This is the end of the Science Camp summaries that Sabra, her sister Suzi, and I all put on for our kids (thus the butt shot).  You can see what else we were up to:  Part I and Part II.  I know there are a ton of pictures, but it was really such a fun-packed…

Science Camp 2011: Part II (of III)

July 25, 2011 By Christie

Part I can be found HERE.  (summary of Science Camp with Sabra and her sis). After dinner on Tuesday we made ice cream with tin cans.  The science of ice cream can be found HERE.  I used a recipe like THIS one.  And a few different methods to make ice cream without a maker can…

Science Camp 2011, Part I (of III)

July 25, 2011 By Christie

My good friend Sabra brought up the idea of a Science Camp a few months before summer.  We got really excited talking about it!  Our kids are great friends and we knew it would work out good.  Especially since her sister was interested in coming as well, and she’s an Elementary School teacher. We had…

Happy Pictures of Summer

July 13, 2011 By Christie

I have a lot to catch up on, but while I was doing a post on my craft blog, I thought I’d just repost it here, seeing as how it was already done!  I’ll catch up someday.  Science Camp with great friends (more to come on that later): Carson having a Napoleon Dynamite moment at…

A Story

July 8, 2011 By Christie

Husband and I are sleeping in bed dreaming pleasant dreams.  It’s approximately 3:00 am.  Suddenly, something jumps or falls on top of me.  I squeal.  I start flapping my hands, because doggy paddle flapping will totally help in these kind of circumstances.  I continue squealing and flapping until hubby wakes up, because now this “thing”…

Memorable Moments June 2011

June 30, 2011 By Christie

Bailey keeps telling the boys when they do something they like, “That’s really cute, Carson (or Devon).” We were talking about Dillon’s birthday tomorrow and Bailey said, “Dad’s birfday!? Way to go, Dad!!!” We were listening to a song by Cake first (Bucket Seat) and I told the kids the title of the song. A…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
