Family Reunion in Bear Lake

July 29, 2011 By Christie

I love my family.  I have such a wonderful extended family, and am blessed because I married into a great family as well :).  My grandparents rented out a beautiful cabin by Bear Lake.  DSC_0537 Aunt Sandy brought a lot of fun crafts for all the kids.DSC_0549DSC_0552DSC_0564DSC_0553 DSC_0565DSC_0582 The ugly tie and ugly jewelry exchange.DSC_0556DSC_0557DSC_0571DSC_0586DSC_0587 DSC_0594DSC_0618DSC_0622DSC_0623DSC_0631 An afternoon at Bear Lake.DSC_0639DSC_0655 DSC_0658DSC_0660DSC_0671DSC_0674DSC_0682DSC_0683DSC_0687DSC_0694 Water fight.DSC_0704 Skits and stories.DSC_0721DSC_0730DSC_0735DSC_0738DSC_0739DSC_0741DSC_0751DSC_0755 These next pics are from a funny skit by the MacCabe family.  They just stuck different color stickers on some people, and when their color was called, they had to stand up and dance to the music that was being played.  It had us all laughing pretty hard.DSC_0759DSC_0762 Especially when Dillon stood up and graced us all with his hillbilly dance (he does frequently at home but has never broken it out in public before).  DSC_0764 Carson was quite proud of his break-dancing.  Dillon’s so proud.DSC_0766DSC_0768DSC_0771 Dillon even taught my brother Ryan…DSC_0773DSC_0776DSC_0778DSC_0784DSC_0786 A long time ago, we had a big family reunion (maybe my first year of college) and were all given Indian Names.  We chose some out this year for those without them.  Mine was Noble Star back when we did that.  Dillon is Leading Star.  Bailey is Shining Meadow.  Carson is Strong Eagle and Devon’s is Giving Horse.  DSC_0791DSC_0793 Then they wrote a family legend and told it to us.  It is actually really neat and we were all given the legend to save.DSC_0795DSC_0805 Reunions are so much fun when you don’t have them very often!  Like I said, I have a great family.  It was fun to catch up with some family I haven’t seen for a few years!

What a fun time!! (All the posts were fun to read.) I must say, you are really good at taking pictures – and I don't mean that in quantity (although that's good too) but quality. They look like a professional has been documenting your life. And Bailey cracked me up – squashing certain bugs cause she doesn't like them. Haha. So cute!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
