Christmas Lights

December 22, 2010 By Christie

Put up Sunday, December 19th:).  Isn’t Dillon so sweet to do it for the kids, in the cold and dark ? He’s been so busy and we just got the lights the week before, so this was his first chance all week!  The kiddos were so excited though!   Devon’s holding a little tiny flashlight…

Christmas Sunday Best

December 22, 2010 By Christie

It was so cold outside that I didn’t make them stay out too long, but since I got a TON for our Christmas cards, these were fine:)!

Santa

December 22, 2010 By Christie

Santa #1 Carson:  snowboard Devon:  camera (yea!  That’s what he’s getting!)   Santa #2 Carson:  snowboard Devon:  robot (This Santa we saw right after the first one.  Dillon’s Dad got us tickets from the county to go see Polar Express.  The kids got their own little snack trays and everything—it was a good time.  Bailey…

One of my Favorite Christmas Stories

December 10, 2010 By Christie

We have a few family traditions that are Christ-centered, and one of them is reading a story or two every night out of this awesome book my mom made for us a few years ago.  I love this book.  I love so many of the stories in it.  They completely portray the wonderful feelings of…

Let the Wrestling Begin (way late!)

December 7, 2010 By Christie

So we just found out that wrestling started like a month ago. Since the boys have been looking forward to it since last year and “practicing” and everything, we still signed them up. Luckily, they do a spring season as well that the money we just paid covers.  Which means that even though they were…

Christmas!!!

December 3, 2010 By Christie

The best time of the year, yet the busiest.   I’m going to try and keep things more simple this year!  We’ll see if I succeed. To start out, here is a fun little picture Carson and Devon drew: In case you can’t read it, it’s the Grandma got ran over by a reindeer song.  The…

Memorable Moments November 2010

November 30, 2010 By Christie

I started singing very loudly and opera like and Bailey said, “Mom, that scares me all the time.”  Um, I guess I’ll stop singing like that. Devon was talking about watching The Princess Bride and was saying something about Wesley.  I asked him what his name was and he said, “Well, it was Buttercup’s Love.” …

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

November 30, 2010 By Christie

Hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!  We had a great time with the Hurst clan here.  It was packed, but turned out great, and thankfully the turkey was super yummy (phew!).    My mother-in-law and sister-in-law Amelia and I all went out all night shopping for Black Friday.  It was crazy but ended up…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
