Long long ago

January 24, 2008 By Christie

There was a candy bar. Not just any candy bar. A scrumptious Cadbury’s double chocolate candy bar from Karl. I got lotion and Dillon got the candy bar, but was nice enough to share with me, with an unspoken agreement that since I got the lotion, the candy bar was ‘mostly’ his (aka, don’t eat it all while I’m gone at work!). Dillon stored the candy bar on a shelf that is not designated for food. Devon also likes to climb a chair onto the counter to get that food in the non-designated-for-food cupboard. So initially, I move the candy bar into the cupboard that has child-proof latches on it (and eat a square or 3). Next time I see the candy bar, it’s moved back into the formerly named cupboard. I move it back (and eat more). He moves it back (to the wrong place of course–cause I’m right, he’s wrong). It is no longer about Devon getting the candy bar, it’s about who’s going to win out on the spot. It kind of turned into a fun game, until one dark and dreary day, the candy bar met it’s fate… Who won, you may ask? Dillon? Nope. Me then? Nope. See for yourself.IMGP0420 IMGP0421 IMGP0423
I came upstairs and there he was, eating the rest.

Isn’t it crazy how quiet they can be when they are doing something they KNOW you wouldn’t approve of? But all of the rest of the time, they yell and scream and fight and drive you (me) crazy! And I love the smug smile on his face. Pretty precious!

He’s so funny. I love the chocolate spot war. Doesn’t it seem that no matter what we do, in the end, the children ALWAYS win?!

Your kids are absolutely hilarious! Sometimes when Brad and I get bored and need a spirit lift we get on your blog and read all of the funny things your kids say (that are on the side bar). We are always rolling over laughing! I can’t wait until Kaiden is old enough to say funny things!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
