If you’re ever looking for Fashion Advice, don’t come lookin’ round here

January 29, 2008 By Christie

Carson has been dressing himself for the last 6 months. He does it all, and it has been really really nice. Now matching is a whole other story for him however. If he has his favorite sweat pants clean, those are the first he will wear, pairing it with a nice shirt that completely has no color similarities whatsoever. Comfort before looks! So this past week Devon has been bringing me some of his clothes wanting to wear them, and Carson has helped him in this feat if I’m not available to put them on. So here is what they come up with on a daily basis (I’m tempted to put all the non-jean pants into the PJ drawer!). Swim shorts and soccer shorts are a favorite in the winter.
Devon has paired his camo hat (worn redneck style) with a bright hunting shirt. Complete this look by adding your favorite swimming shorts, gray socks, and your brother’s soccer cleats.

Look dashing on the playing field in your airplane shirt coupled with blue pants with bright yellow racing stripes. Wear your halloween socks and complete with soccer cleats and soccer ball in hand. Your friends will be impressed.
Forget the jeans with this comfy outfit of your snowman shirt (who has his head missing) with your Lightening McQueen pj’s. Don’t forget the red socks!
Everything matches camo, so get that Varsity orange and blue shirt, top it with your red, white, and blue “letterman’s jacket”, and you are good to go. And what would this outfit be without the batman socks???

Oh my goodness! That made me laugh really hard because today Mikayla is wearing orange, green and purple striped halloween witch tights with a really, really short pink dress. I love what these kids come up with!!! Its a good thing we don’t leave the house very often!

I agree with Merilee…we don’t leave the house often, so matching doesn’t matter. But on the days that Ethan goes to preschool, I try to at least have him wear jeans so the mismatched shirt/socks combination is far apart from each other. Then it isn’t quite so noticeable.

Wow, it is crazy what fashion statements kids come up with! It is good to know that camo goes with everything! :)

Ah, a true man already–comfort before looks–that says it all! Ha ha!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
