Although Carson is nearly a full head taller than most kids his age, he is still 4 (until next week) and just starting preschool. Most people think he looks at least 6, one lady told me 7 last week. Crazy!
He had a fun first day of preschool–I cried after dropping him off, and I don’t think it was just the whole being pregnant thing…I really was sad that someone else gets to take him and teach him and eventually they will have him most of the day when he’s older! Everyone keeps telling me how great it is after you get used to them being gone, but I’m not convinced yet.
The crazy thing is, he has 3 teachers, and in his class for now, there is just him and one other boy! I guess they decided that was going to be the “filler” class and whoever signs up late will go into that class. I’m undecided, but at this point I’d rather him be in the classes with 8-10 kids for the socialization part of it, but then, it’s cool too that he gets so much attention. It just doesn’t seem very realistic, but hey, great to learn and behave well I suppose with only 2 kids!
Here he is sporting his new glasses–he only has to wear them for school. He had to get new ones because he lost his other ones camping. These are a bit on the BIG side, but we got a fantastic deal on them.
This picture makes me laugh. I said, “Show me how excited you are to start preschool!” and he pulls this fabulous pose.
And he’s off…sniffle sniffle. (I do realize he’s wearing socks with his crocs–I’m telling you, my kids just do not have any sense of fashion–he thought he looked awesome, and who am I to tell him socks and sandals don’t “go” together!? He could care less, so that’s how I feel too!)

Cute! Is he still loving it? That is super nice of you as a mom to let him pick out all his clothes, I think I’m still too worldly (or evil) to let my boys do that. Maybe one day I can be like you. That’s funny there’s more teachers than students! Very nice.
