Little Update

October 7, 2008 By Christie

We have an appointment with the Neurosurgeon and the Craniofacial specialist next Wednesday, the 15th, at 11:15–again at Primary Children’s Hospital. So we won’t know more until then. Some of the questions popping up from some of you and amongst ourselves are how many places of her skull have fused together–if more than one at all–how long until damage would have actually taken place, will she have to wear the helmet and if so for how long, what would have happened had we not caught it now, will she need a blood transfusion, how soon the surgery will be obviously, how long the hospital stay will be, etc. I mean seriously, I really wonder what has happened to people that they never caught this–how long does it take for enough pressure on the brain to build up and cause problems?

If there are any more questions you and I have discussed, or you are wondering, then please post a comment because I really really want to cover everything that we are wondering about at this appointment!!!

And just for fun…

What Bailey thought of her first bath with water–her cord took FOREVER to fall off so we could give her one finally. Poor girl. The boys thought they’d help me. Devon placed a rubber snake on her head to play with and Carson took the squirting toy and gave her a nice squirt in the face. Really, she’s gonna have to be tough, even with mommy around to protect her!!!

All snug in her cute warm new jacket from Aunt Amelia and Uncle Jason. I LOVE brown and pink together! Thanks for all the cute clothes you guys!

Your boys are so thoughtful-ha ha ha! What a great experience for a first bath–oh well, at least they’re trying to be helpful. :)

She’s beautiful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you . . . please let us know if you decide to do a family fast. What’s the timeline on all of this? I know she needs to be 2-3 months old, but have they already set some dates?

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
