I was a bit lazy this year with our garden after I got past 7 months pregnant, so I didn’t pick any blossoms off the pumpkin vine to make some of them grow bigger than others. Sadly, we had casualties in our garden–the squash bugs killed two of our pumpkin plants, so good thing this one did so well.
So….we ended up with a TON of little pumpkins–maybe 2-3 carveable ones. Oh well. The boys carried them all to the front porch last night. They were very excited, and of course, had to tell me how strong they were the whole time:).

Those are neat little pumpkins. The boys don’t care what size they are!! Oh Batman and Spiderman…
You’re so good to have a garden. The deer around here eat everything so I haven’t even tried. But truth be told, I have a very brown thumb, well, let’s admit it, my whole hand is brown when it comes to growing things. The deer are just a good excuse.
Christie, I just realized this week that people can leave comments! Only you can claim working in your garden until you were seven months pregnant–that’s commitment. The pumpkins, and superheroes are cute!
Oh how fun to grow your own pumpkins! We just went to this HUGE patch today and picked ours! It was cold and not as luxurious as getting them in our backyard ;) but it was fun!
Very impressive. Seth and I were thinking that this year we needed to try and grow our own pumpkins cause they don’t really require much work, right? :)
