Birthday Date

December 3, 2008 By Christie

Man, you probably think this is the never-ending blog about my birthday! Dillon still took me out last night despite the chills and fevers we both had. Man, we don’t feel well still! Dillon is actually at the doctor’s right now. I probably should go, but I keep thinking I will get better one of these days.

My mom volunteered to watch all 3 kids while we went to dinner and did something else. So, to stay closer to her in case Bailey wouldn’t take a bottle, we went to Sizzler, which I actually really like their steak and shrimp and salad bar.

Afterwards, we went to 3, yes 3, Targets in search of this super cute diaper bag I saw there last month. Isn’t my hubby nice to tag along shopping? I guess I’ll have to order it online because NONE of them had it! Luckily, my mom lives within 10 minutes of 4 Targets, but we stuck with the ones within 5 minutes. Man, I wish we could just move one of those out here! Anyways, it actually was a lot of fun shopping with Dillon. He cracks me up. He broke about every traffic law you can, since there weren’t many cars around, so illegal left turns, illegal u-turns, pulling up literally right next to the door so I wouldn’t have to walk in the cold and then I got to wait for him inside the warm building while he parked and came in. What a great guy:). So we had fun. We were only gone 2 hours because Bailey wouldn’t take a bottle. That silly girl, she totally took bottles up until after she got home from her surgery! The ONLY time she takes one is if she has already nursed and I give it to her–no one else. Kind of defeats the purpose, unless it’s for supplementing. I do go in today for her weight check.

We got home and I realized we didn’t take any pictures, so I had Carson take one for us. Can you figure out what was wrong the first time? What nerds, huh!

We had to let Devon take a picture of course as well.

If you’ve made it this far, QUESTION FOR YOU!!! The diaper bag I want doesn’t have a long enough strap to go over my shoulder. I kind of like that having a strap to let one hand be free at least if I have Bailey in the carseat. If you have one that doesn’t have a long strap, does it bug you? Does it still fit over your shoulder even with everything in it? It is this one:

What a fun date! I love shopping dates. It’s so nice when Paul comes along and I don’t have my kids. As for the diaper bag, I like the handle kinda short. That way when I put my arm through it all the way up to my shoulder, I can still carry stuff, but my arm helps to keep is in place so it’s not falling down and knocking my kids in the head.

That is a way cute bag, and I am glad you got your night out!

I’m glad you got to go out to dinner. And that is a really cute bag! I don’t know about the shoulder strap thing, because I don’t use bags. My guess is that you could make it work on your shoulder anyway. Good luck!

You two look whiter than twin sheets :) but when its time to get out–its time! I’ve done lots of that kind of shopping, usually checking other stores for a different size. I’ll miss you if you go private, but completely respect your decision if you do. Of course, we live just down the street, but still…And I’ll just have to remember to check it.

Fun birthday! I am glad you had a good time. I don’t have a diaper bag so I don’t know about the strap but it is super cute!

Those are my favorite kind of dates–I love running errands with Adam–we always have fun doing stuff like that. As for the diaper bag–mine has a strap like that and it doesn’t bug me, even when it’s overflowing with stuff. Happy belated birthday–I really did remember, I promise!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
