Happy Halloween!

November 2, 2009 By Christie

Here’s a little re-cap of the rest of October!

Mom and Karl putting on a funny skit at the cousin Halloween party, held at our house this year. My mom’s face when she does the dance at the first of the video makes me laugh out loud every time.

Check out Ryan and Mel’s costumes. They are the bomb diggety (and I did just say that. You love it, don’t you?) Love them!
Carving pumpkins. I couldn’t get a good picture for some reason this year. Dev has the one with the HUGE nose, Carson carved one with BOOOOOOO on it, mine’s supposed to be a puppy, and Dillon’s is the traditional kind.

Making popcorn ball “suckers” for the kids’ friends. Found the idea HERE. Hey, does anyone know where to get just cellophane? I found little cellophane baggies, but the popcorn balls didn’t fit inside.

Our ward does a Halloween Parade every year. I’m glad they do, since they don’t get to dress in their costumes in school around here. I have no idea why, and yes, it’s sad. Since Devon didn’t get to go to his preschool party, I let them both invite a friend over for a little party and Halloween cartoon. Totally last minute thrown together party, but it was fun.

Trick-or-Treating in downtown Tooele. I think next year we’ll skip this. It kind of made the boys tired and have a sugar high before dinner. They complained the entire time they ate our Papa Murphy’s Jack-O-Lantern pizza! Oh, and Bailey could not stop hugging her costume. It was the cutest. She hugged herself all night.

Devon looks like an awesome bobble-head Darth Vador. Bailey borrowed the puppy costume (thanks Kate!), and at the last minute, my friend Kim said we could borrow her son’s Jedi costume. Carson was going to be a dragon that we had from my sister Janina, but since Dev was Darth Vador, he was stoked he got a lightsabor as well. So thank you Kim!

And finally, Trick-Or-Treating! The boys had fun. Bailey, not so much. Dillon ended up taking her home after our street and I took the boys for about half an hour longer. They had a blast. On the way home, Carson yelled, “This RULES! This is the BEST Halloween EVER!” Devon saw our house, sighed heavily and said, “Home sweet home.” Oh, and Carson said Trick or Treating like “Trick or Tree–Un.”From Grandma and Grandpa H, the boys got a goodie bag that had some silly string in. They were totally stoked when I told them they could choose “Trick” instead of “Treat” and spray anyone we knew. They thought they were the funniest. You should have heard the giggling around here.
We got home, ate some candy, and the boys and Dillon played with their glow sticks forever until they went to bed!
Bailey had a lot to say about Halloween. Totally cute.

So much fun! Love imagining Bailey hugging herself! We had two characters from Star Wars at our house. We should have gotten together. :)

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
