We had a great Christmas, as it seems like everyone did! I’ve loved looking at everyone’s pictures. I loved Christmas and spending so much time with family and friends.
Gingerbread Houses
Christmas Eve
involved cookies for Santa, spreading out food for Santa’s reindeer, acting out the Nativity, and leaving notes in Jesus’ stocking saying what we would give to Him this year. That was my favorite part because we first listened to the Mo-Tab sing the song from that video I posted “What Shall We Give?”, and talked about how we felt listening to it, then we shared what we wrote down. They also got to open their presents from each other. This is a continuing tradition from when I was a kid. I think it’s great because they can focus a little more on giving without SO many distractions the next day, plus since their present probably isn’t as great as others they’ll get on Christmas, they can also show their appreciation more to the giver:).
The kids went to bed, and Dillon and I got to work. We seem to always have pretty simple Christmases. No one gets anything very expensive at all, which is great because none of us care! We spent total on all three kids less than $70.00! I love to keep it simple, though my Aunt and the grandparents do their share of spoiling:).
Christmas Day!
Bailey got 4 dolls and 2 strollers, which she loved. She fed and hugged and kissed those babies all day, and still does. Carson got a scooter (that isn’t pink trying to be spray-painted red…that’s now Dev’s scooter, ha ha!), and Devon got an easel. He loved the one at Primary Children’s so much we thought he’d like it. He had no clue when they came downstairs that it was his present from Santa. Cuteness:).
Dev gave me THE awesome necklace and bracelet. Dillon’s convinced me that it’s ok to take it back, but I’m keeping the bracelet.
My Dad came
for his annual after-Christmas visit, which is always great. He came on Sunday and was there for 2 nights. My siblings and their families came over that Sunday night for an Asian potluck (YUM!) and of course, some guitar playing/singing.
A couple days after Christmas, we finally went to Temple Square. I highly recommend going after Christmas! It seemed to stretch out the Christmas cheer longer and it was WAY less busy than before. I wonder how Christmas Day would be since I’d love to go then.
They had some great performances in the old Tabernacle. This next picture actually has the Nativity scene behind them, but right when I took the picture, they turned off the lights! Oh well!
It was beautiful at Temple Square! And very snowy. I love when it is snowing!!!
Check out Bailey’s stroller…this was after about 15-20 minutes!
I have the BEST family and friends. We were very blessed this year to be surrounded by so many we love. Thank you everyone for contributing to our happy Christmas! We love you!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Loved the pictures. Especially Dev and Cars acting out the nativity with blankets on their heads. Pricelss. By the way, you look lovely in your green sweater. What a beauty.

They stole my comments! I was going to say you're a babe and that the temple pictures are beautiful. Instead I'll say Bailey's picture standing all alone in her Sunday dress is adorable. And I love all your Christmas family traditions. We need to do something like the stocking thing (since you gave us a stocking last year to do it…)
