What?! Who even decorates for that holiday? Well…I didn’t until this year. Seriously, the winter months are getting BORING, and I love to help my kids have something to look forward to, even if it is just the decorating part and a green dinner. Maybe I’ll try Sabra‘s idea that she did last year, with the Leprechaun sneaking in their house and doing all sorts of crazy stuff. Cute idea! And, since green is my favorite color, I thought why not?
Painting shamrocks on shirts.
Even Bailey got in on the action:).
Devon told me his shirt made him run faster. Carson said, “Because it’s lucky!”
This is actually an IRISH saying! I was happy to find that out online! (I just typed Irish Sayings into google).
This frame was supposed to be way cooler than this. It is a little bit ugly actually.
The tray idea is from Tator Tots and Jello–she made a round one. I got this tray at DI for $1.50. I saw someone use ribbon on a dish just like this one, but I don’t remember where now!
Tator Tots and Jello made Valentine’s Day marble XOXO’s. I saw these marbles for $1.50 at Walmart and thought I could figure something out with them.
I’m gonna have a quick tutorial for this banner next week on my craft blog. You can click on the picture to visit that blog!
P.S. Debbie, you asked me when I do this stuff…really, I stay up WAY WAY WAY too late, about twice a week. One day a week, I do it during Bailey’s nap in the day. Sometimes the boys watch me and sometimes they watch a show :).

Your decorations are wonderful. I miss this holiday and the few wooden painted shamrocks in storage I made. They don't celebrate it here in England, they don't like the Irish. I didn't realize this for a couple of years. I was in Primary and planned a St. Patrick's Day Primary Activity since it fell on the day, oh boy, did I hear grief from the Brits, "Why don't you do a St. George's Day Activity???" It was a great activity despite their complaints.

Holy cow girl! I just looked at your craft blog! How did I not know about that? (I'm now a follower) I'm seriously speechless. :) So many great things and I love the making onesie into a tank. I feel like I say this every time I comment – but you an AMAZING!!

We love St. Patty's Day around here! I think I have a total of 2 green decorations. I'll have to see if some of your creative juices can rub off on me and get to creating some green fun for us too!

Thank you for all these cute ideas Christie! I especially love that you were able to get Bailey in on the action. That is so clever.
Honestly, I knew that you would have to be staying up late or something. I promise I didn't think that you just ignored your kids! :) I think I was just a little cranky that day because I have so many crafts I want to do but don't feel like I have the time (but then I realize that I stay up all night reading…so its all about priorities I guess). You are the best Christie. I honestly wish we lived closer together so that we could do some of these fun crafts together.
Sorry for the obnoxiously long comment!
