-how my boys snuck down the road and tried to discreetly bring in some of the neighbor’s garbage cans in full daylight. As in they were hiding behind 4” trees, bushes, and behind cars to get to them. -how my boys left some pretty poinsettia’s on an old couple’s doorstep, rang the doorbell, and ran. -how Devon forgot that they were supposed to run and so he stood on that old couple’s doorstep for a minute—luckily he was quicker and they still didn’t see him -Bailey preciously and tenderly holding the baby Jesus in each of our nativity sets -how Carson and Devon loved reading the Christmas stories from the book my mom made us -their sweet pictures of the Nativity that they drew: In Devon’s picture, you’ll see a guy walking the other way. Devon said told me, “He already saw the baby Jesus, so he’s leaving and he’s happy.” -how the boys loved filling their manger for baby Jesus -how the boys told Dillon and I that we could put a piece of straw in the manger for stopping to help an old lady on the side of the road -the light in my boys’ eyes as they held open the door for one of the widows in our ward -how excited they were to pick out, wrap, and place their presents to each other under the tree. Then see how excited they were giving those gifts to each other on Christmas Eve. Mostly I just don’t want to forget the simple things that made this Christmas Season so wonderful! I love my family so much and can’t imagine anything better than being together!
