Four of my old roommates from BYU and I got together a couple weeks ago. It is always so fun to catch up with them (not picture yet….Alvey? Her name is really Tiffany, but we’ll never call her that—two Tiffany’s in a dorm will do that) Well, Alvey and I talked a bit about how fun it would be to go back to BYU and just walk around a bit. Visit some old places, etc. Everyone wanted to come but it ended up just Alvey and I. Which was a bummer, but once we got there it was probably better. Man, walking around BYU with children is MUCH MUCH MUCH different than without! It was AMAZING how many people just watch you and your kids while you push them around campus. I even had one guy smile and say, “Your daughter is SO cute.” Needless to say, things have changed. But not all things. It was amazing how we walked into the Wilkinson Center to eat lunch (and see where I used to work—Teriyaki Stix). We opened the doors and walked in, and both of us looked at each other and said, “That smell! It smells like the Wilkinson Center!” It was so crazy because we didn’t really realize there WAS a smell…but man the memories flooded back. We saw a deer there…first time I ever saw a deer on campus! They’ve re-done a lot of campus. Torn down buildings (like the one I occasionally decided to show up to clean), and made a beautiful walk around parts of campus. We so had to laugh at this…it’s so something we would have done! This is where we roomed together first. #136. This building will soon no longer exist either! Quite a few fun memories from football games. We were SO lucky to have front row seats that first year for the BYU vs. U of U game. So much fun! And here is where 4 of us roomed together the next year, Turley living next door to us there. Also where I met Dillon (awwwww). Dillon lived on the second floor, I on the 3rd. This complex was U shaped and had a pool in the middle. We thought we chose the best place possible since boys actually lived in the same building as the girls. It was so great to get back. I really really really loved BYU. I had a blast there and I’m so thankful that I had that opportunity to go there. I remember opening my acceptance letter and being SO happy. I was really worried I wouldn’t get in, because it is harder for Utah residents to get in than out non-residents. It really was a dream come true for me. I need to go back with Dillon! I’ve only been back twice now since I graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor’s in Social Work. And had Carson a couple weeks after graduating. I was telling Alvey that I have a recurring nightmare that I didn’t actually graduate, and it was all because of ONE class that I just didn’t ever go to. When I realized that I was missing this class, I tried to talk to the teacher but felt like such an idiot! And it was too late! So I had to delay my graduation for a whole semester because of one class! Blah…I hate that dream! Anyways, a great trip back. I’m so glad we went. It was fun to re-live many memories through Alvey’s amazing memory! Yah…mine? Not so much. But that girl remembers everything!

Fun! Bummed I missed it. But really, with 3 crazy boys, I probably wouldn't have enjoyed it… :)

So fun to reminisce! Mike & I did a lot of that too with Dirk and my sister when we took David down. BYU's changed A LOT since we've been there! I love that place too.

Yes, I remember everything except to email the pictures from my camera! I'll get on that. :)
