College Roommates and Still Friends

August 17, 2008 By Christie

Last night I met up with Turley and Dezi–two of my best friends. We sure missed Britta and Alvey, also my best friends. I’ve known Dezi and Britta since I was 12 or 13, and we were lucky enough to room together at BYU and meet Turley and Alvey. Such great memories we all have…

Zoo

August 17, 2008 By Christie

It was supposed to be quite cool yesterday, only 83, so I ventured to take the kids to the zoo. It was hot and stinky, but the kids loved it as always. They did get to ride the new carousel there, which was fun and different. I do have to explain Devon’s betrayed look in…

I Worship the Ground I Walk On

August 17, 2008 By Christie

I guess you can say that I really really really like the cement poured just yesterday in our backyard. Many of you know the long wait it’s been–it’s still a mess with rocks and dirt and everything, and we have another pour in 1 1/2 weeks about, but still, it’s in progress and I am…

Little Request

August 14, 2008 By Christie

If any of you have your blog linked to mine, would you mind not using our last name? I’ve been avoiding using it on my blog, and realized that whenever people click from your blogs, they will know it:). I don’t want to go private, but a few people have been, and it got me…

Swim Lessons

August 14, 2008 By Christie

Well, swim lessons ended and the boys loved them (it only took Devon 3 days, which wasn’t so bad). Jumping off the diving board was quite impressive, I thought…even with life jackets on:).

Last week I got to meet up with some friends from a long time ago–back on Kilt Street. It was great to see them! And neat to meet Lori’s baby Emmett, who is so cute! Thanks for taking time out of your trip back to see us Lori! We have a lot of fun memories…

No Cavities!

August 11, 2008 By Christie

Yahoo, my kids just went to the dentist–they were SO good. It was so cute seeing Devon lie down and get his teeth cleaned and be so good during the x-rays and everything. Carson last time we went, wouldn’t even let them take x-rays, so it was a great improvement and I’m so proud of…

Just some Thoughts

August 11, 2008 By Christie

In Sacrament meeting yesterday, the High Council gave an awesome talk. He was talking about principle rather than preference. He talked about marriage and problems in marriage. He said most of them happen because we have different preferences–the Lord doesn’t care how we do things (like finance situations, for example), but he cares about the…

Finished:)

August 7, 2008 By Christie

I finished Breaking Dawn just now. I was really good at just reading at night, but today I read and surprisingly the kids played and didn’t even watch TV all day while I finished:). I ended up liking it…some questionable things, but I’ll just leave it at that so I don’t spoil anything:). Now I…

County Fair!

August 6, 2008 By Christie

I love fairs, and I say that all the time, but summer-time is great, isn’t it? Dillon performed (sang and guitar) Thursday night at the fair, then Friday night was the rodeo, then Saturday was the Demolition Derby. My kids LOVE the Derby, and I normally do, but was a bit hot and tired from…

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
