Santa Claus

December 16, 2007 By Christie

This is the first year my boys were excited to see him (either of them–seriously, every other year they have screamed and cried!). So, we got to see Santa two nights in a row! First at Dillon’s parent’s ward, then last night with our ward party. The party was great–we all sang Christmas songs together, which the boys loved (they both stood on their chairs and danced and sang–pics below) . So Wednesday night Carson told Santa what he wanted (Lightning McQueen Slippers) and last night decided he should tell him that Devon wanted Thomas slippers (just cause he doesn’t want them to have the same ones–too bad!). So he gets on Santa’s lap and he says, “Devon wants Thomas slippers.” and Santa says, “Oh, what do you want?” and he says, “I already told you last night.” Hello Santa? How could you forget so soon?!
Devon gets on his lap and Santa asks what he wants. Devon just stares at him, avoiding as much as possible any eye contact. Santa says, “Do you know what you want?” and Devon says, “Uh-huh.” and Santa says, “Okay, what do you want?” and Devon says, “I don’t know.” This was repeated between them 3 times. Funny boy. It was fun. (The boys had to put their Christmas tattoos on their foreheads).

It’s funny how kids love the idea of Santa, but then they either scream when they are in the same room, or just won’t keep eye contact. Love the head tattoos. Did you try to remove them before church? Aidan always puts up a fuss if I try to remove face tattoos before church.

Yep, I scrubbed their foreheads forever to get those off before church today!

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
