Talks for the Primary Program

September 10, 2010 By Christie

For the Primary Program this year, my kids were asked the following. Carson: asked to tell, in his own words, when Heavenly Father and Jesus appeared to Joseph Smith.  “Well, this is how it started. Joseph Smith was working on a farm and he went where all the churches were and he didn’t know which…

Memorable Moments August 2010

September 5, 2010 By Christie

• My friend Sabra and I drove up somewhere that had a lot of trees. Bailey said, “Camping!!!” • I was at Target and I put something in the cart, which Bailey grabbed and hugged. She said, “I love it!” She’s always telling me things are cute in the store as well. Or when I…

Devon’s First Day of Kindergarten

August 31, 2010 By Christie

Another sniffle.  I’ve been telling a lot of you—I am not having an easy time with both my boys in school!  Yesterday I cried off and on all day because it just hit me so hard that Carson’s gone for SO LONG every day, and I got a little irritated that the school system just…

Precious Moments

August 30, 2010 By Christie

Seriously, I am just overwhelmed with the love I have for my kids right now.  I love moments like this, where you would absolutely drop anything just to be with them and relish in…them!  Devon starts Kindergarten tomorrow and is very excited.  Of all the books to choose for our reading tonight, he chose I…

First Day of First Grade

August 30, 2010 By Christie

Sniffle.  I held it together until I got to the van, and just cried and cried on the way home.  Can my kids PLEASE stop growing up??? Carson was really excited to start school this past Tuesday.  At first he said it seemed shorter than kindergarten (all last week they went shorter than a normal…

Dino-Bites

August 30, 2010 By Christie

I was downstairs helping Devon open his chalk gift for getting his tonsils out (this was Tuesday or Wednesday), and I sent him upstairs to get some scissors.  He wasn’t talking at this point.  He came down, very solemn faced, and motioned for me to come with him and pointed upstairs.  I said, “You need…

Tonsillectomy and Adenoidectomy

August 30, 2010 By Christie

Hopefully this little boy will have a healthier life now!  Last Monday Devon got out his tonsils and adenoids.  His throat hurt off and on after that, but he is mostly back to normal.  His voice sounds different for now, but is supposed to sound more normal in the next couple of weeks.    Arriving…

Hide and Seek

August 30, 2010 By Christie

Dillon and the kids LOVE to play hide and seek.  Bailey is always grabbing Dillon by the arms and saying, “Let’s hide Daddy!”.  The boys came up with the brilliant plan for me to take pictures and video of the “hider” as a clue for the “seeker” to find the person hiding. Here’s a couple…

Dunderhead

August 30, 2010 By Christie

Bailey named her stick horse Dunderhead, after one of Jerry and Sheila’s horses, without any prompting on our part.  She loves Dunderhead:).

Memorable Moments June 2015

~Ruby says "Thank You" when you give her anything. Except it's more like "Day Oooo." I love it. She's also trying harder to say please (or Peeeeze) for things she wants. What a polite little girl :).

~Yesterday Bailey came down with the Clone Trooper costume on, which is 4 sizes too big I'm pretty sure, and her bull horns on. It was awesome. And sums up this girl pretty darn well.

~Carson told us that he was the laughing stock of Primary on Sunday. He meant to say the Class Clown :).

~Devon's so funny these days. If you catch him doing something he shouldn't be, he gets an innocent little smile and then starts rolling his eyes everywhere except looking at you. :)
